Alison M. Young-Herron, President
Alison has had ownership and/or managerial positions with a family-owned manufacturing firm, a G-rated singing and dancing telegram business, a gospel music and concert promotion/production organization (which became a 501(c)3), and most recently, Applause Studio, a highly successful performing arts studio. She is co-owner of Applause, where her considerable singing, dancing, and acting training and experience have served her well in her roles of instructor and Performance Team coach. Ms. Young-Herron is also president of Young @ Heart LLC, which gives her an outlet for many of her other creative endeavors, such as public speaking, writing (including magazine articles and children’s books), and her very own instructional DVD for leading music, Making a Joyful Noise—101.

Janna Sue Nelson, Vice President
Janna is an artist, designer, and writer, who incorporates a unique variety of ideas and resources into her projects. For 13 years, she was an artist with Chalk-It-Up Art Festival in Sacramento, CA, and designed their 2004 event poster. She has also painted advertising signage and designed marketing and promotional pieces for businesses and special events. Nelson designed uniforms for the three-time national champion women’s pool team, of which she was a proud member. She wrote “Sac Cue Rap”, a monthly column for Cue Sports Journal, a publication for billiards enthusiasts. Nelson also wrote several humorous speeches for special events. Janna holds a graphic design degree from ITT Technical Institute, where she graduated as class Valedictorian.

Mary Kay Voss, CFP, EA, Secretary/Treasurer
Mary Kay has served on numerous non-profit boards, including NW Mediation Center, Mill Creek Art
Foundation, Mill Creek Women’s Club and Mill Creek Garden Club. She served as Vice Chair of the
Snohomish County Republican Party, in charge of major fundraising events, and has served as emcee and
auctioneer for numerous non-profit events. Mary Kay is a business owner, past city council member,
wife, mother and grandmother. Her considerable acting talents have led her to grace the stages of
several community theaters in the north Puget Sound area. As a Certified Financial Planner she brings
her financial acumen to 100 Kisses Foundation.
