Future Projects
We believe that success with our Snohomish County project will lead to enthusiasm and support for 100 Kisses projects for other counties within Washington state, and also for the entire state of Washington. All these endeavors will qualify us for status as a federal non-profit, at which time we will be able to initiate projects in other states, and ultimately, find the support we need for a...
National 100 Kisses Project
- Enlist the help of influential and well-known women in order to begin the organizational process, and to maximize the reach of the publicity generated and funds raised by 100 Kisses.
- Build a team of motivated professionals who will come together to make the project happen.
- Obtain corporate sponsorship from a cosmetic manufacturer chosen for its reputation for community awareness, endorsing environmentally sound business practices, supporting worthy charities, and helping women improve their own lives and the lives of their families.
- Obtain the support of a major television personality, whose personal and organizational support will be key in bringing together the many elements of the project.
- Assemble a list of one hundred famous and inspirational women, and several alternates. Focus should be made on choosing women who are remarkable because of their dedication to efforts that make the world a better place to live, especially for children. Contact each woman and invite them to participate.
- See that an invitation to be one of the 100 women includes an obligation to contribute a minimal pre-set amount of money to the project.
- Prepare a framed and mounted sturdy surface as the centerpiece of the project, which will become a true work of art and a cultural icon. Take appropriate steps to ensure the protection, stability, and quality of this piece.
- Invite each woman selected to first place a lipstick print "kiss" on a small piece of paper (using different colors of lipstick provided by the corporate sponsor), and then sign their autograph beneath their "kiss." Each paper will then be placed on a designated spot within the work of art, and secured.
- Generate publicity for 100 Kisses by having televised coverage of each of the one hundred women as she plants her kiss and signs her autograph.
- Document the moment when each woman contributes her kiss and autograph, and then compile the photography, film footage, and background and biographical information into a book and DVD entitled "The Making of 100 Kisses."
- Plan and stage a major television event surrounding the completion of the project, when the last woman plants the 100th kiss, and thus completes the framed work of art. Have as many of the 100 participating women in the studio audience as possible.
- Sell the completed 100 Kisses work of art, and donate the money to Smile Train. Seek and select a buyer who will display the work in a place that will continue to draw public attention and ongoing donations. Alternatively, hold an auction with a reserve price established.
- Sustain a flow of Smile Train donations through the continuing sale of related products, such as limited edition poster prints of the original work of art, the book, and the DVD.
- Establish several other ongoing donation sources, such as a percentage of sales generated by a new 100 Kisses line of cosmetics exclusively produced by the corporate sponsor, and packages of one hundred Hershey’s Kisses sold in lipstick print-shaped boxes.
